These turkey cookies are a fun way to make something fun and different. Thanksgiving cookies are fun to make, but I have to admit that after a couple years, it gets a little boring making turkeys, maple leaves, acorns, and plaques that say, “Give Thanks.”
Versatile Turkey Cookies
The best thing about these turkey cookies is that you can make them with whatever color palette you choose. And since mixing and preparing royal icing colors can take a long time, this is a great way to use up leftover icing from other projects. Some of these icing colors were leftover from a Halloween cookie project.
Possible Improvements – The (Totally G-Rated) Turkeys
The only regret I have for these is that I didn’t think in advance how…ehrm…these turkey heads would end up looking. When my sister saw them, she literally asked, “Are you seriously sharing those?” Oops.
Happy baking, friends!
